Patent Engineer/Research Associate/Patent Associate

Job Responsibilities:
  • Key responsibilities would include performing prior art patent searches on various patent databases, analyzing and developing inventive concepts to enhance patent ability of the inventions, and drafting patent applications. 
  • As a patent engineer, you would be actively involved in analyzing inventions in different technologies and fields of engineering such as software, computer science, electronics & communication, telecommunication, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, semiconductors, etc., and other fields such as business methods 
  • Carrying out patent searches on various data bases, with project like patentability, invalidation, infringement, landscape, state of Art & FTO’s 
  • Technical analysis of Patents, application and other technical documents. Preparation of potential infringing product list. 
  • Preparation of claim charts for patent infringements. Market sales report for patent technology. 
Job Descriptions:
  • Any M.Tech / B.Tech / Electronics & Communication/ Computer Science. 
  • Should have excellent analytical abilities, excellent writing skills, and a keen interest in learning new technologies and conducting research and conceptual development of inventions. 
  • A keen interest in science, technology and intellectual property is required. 
  • The candidate should be a Patent Agent/Associate/Analyst and should be from IP domain only. 
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of the technology domain. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability in creative and persuasive writing. 
  • Excellent knowledge of IP laws of various countries, various patent databases, and technical domains concerning educational background. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word. 
  • Searching, analyzing, compiling technical and patent information.  
  • Should have experience in conducting prior art searches and infringement searches. 
  • Any certifications or additional courses or training (in Intellectual Property or otherwise) would be a plus.
